We expect all children to wear school uniform. We aim to keep the cost of uniform reasonable and offer the best value for money for parents and carers.
Our uniform policy is available online
New logoed school uniform can be purchased from Uniform Direct at their Leicester store at 54-56 Humberstone Gate, LE1 4PJ.
Parents can order online at www.uniform-direct.com - click on Find Your School, select Primary Schools and then scroll down until you find Catherine Junior school Community Primary School and click on the box.
Pre-loved Uniform
Parents can donate uniform that is in good condition to the school. A uniform swap where donated uniform is available at no cost takes place at least once a year.
Local Supermarkets
All items of our dress code can also usually be purchased from local supermarkets. There is no requirement for children to wear sweatshirts/cardigans with the Catherine Junior school logo. Supermarket sweatshirts/cardigans are fine, as long as these are plain and in school colours.
Our uniform:
- Trousers/Shorts/Skirts/Tunics – black or grey
- Summer dresses – dark blue gingham check
- Sweatshirts/Cardigans (no hoodies) – Dark blue with Catherine Junior school logo or plain dark blue top. (No other logos allowed)
- Polo Shirts or Cotton Shirts – light blue or white
- Shoes - Plain, all black school shoes or completely black trainers (no white/coloured logos, markings, sole or flashing lights)
PE kit
On their PE day, children come to school in their PE kit:
- Black shorts or jogging bottoms and sweatshirts
- plain white t-shirt or light blue t-shirt with or without CJS logo
- indoor plimsolls and all black outdoor trainers (no coloured soles, logos or flashing lights).
- If children already wear black trainers as part of their school uniform these can also be worn for PE.
- Please remove all earrings or jewellery, or cover with tape.
