Pupil Leadership Team
As the Pupil Leadership Team of Catherine Junior School, we are proud to be a driving force for positive change within our school community. Guided by our Catherine Code - motivated, enthusiastic, collaborative, supportive, respectful, valued, resilient, and thoughtful - we embody the spirit and values that make our school a safe, inclusive, and forward-thinking place to learn and grow.
We champion the British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. These principles underpin our commitment to fostering a school environment that celebrates diversity, promotes fairness, and encourages every pupil to find and use their voice.
As student leaders, we:
· Listen actively to the voices of our peers and represent them with integrity and respect.
· Challenge the Senior Leadership Team constructively to ensure that every pupil’s experience is shaped by inclusion, ambition, and care.
· Contribute meaningfully to whole-school priorities, including our work towards the Artsmark and the Positive and Peaceful Places for Young People Award, ensuring that creativity, wellbeing, and peace are at the heart of school life.
· Promote opportunities for all students to participate in enriching, ambitious activities that broaden horizons, deepen understanding, and nurture a lifelong curiosity for the world around us.
We strive to empower our fellow pupils to grow into well-rounded citizens of conscience - individuals who not only excel academically but lead with empathy, think critically, and act with integrity in everything they do.
Together, through the Catherine Code and our commitment to shared values, we are shaping a school we are proud of today - and a future we believe in for tomorrow.
This year, we will be working towards:
1. Gaining our Arts Mark and our Ecoschools awards
2. Promoting and raising awareness of key dates and events such as Anti-Bullying Week and Children’s Mental Health Week
3. Making break times and lunch times happier and more fun
4. Improving our behaviour policy and rewards systems
