Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

On 27th May, 2022, we celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style, with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, who is the Queen’s representative in Leicester, The Lord Mayor of Leicester and parents. Children came dressed in red white and blue, and loved playing traditional games, thinking about their hopes for the next 70 years in Britain, making a huge human number 70 and eating ice-cream. Parents joined us at the end of the day for a loyal toast with fruit punch and listen to all the children sing the national anthem.

Clean air day

Catherine Junior school was first school in Leicester to celebrate clean air day by closing the road that runs alongside our front playground:

We have continued to promote and celebrate clean air day.
