Starting Secondary School

Due to the current situation, all transition visits to secondary schools have been cancelled until further notice.

Children who have been offered a place at Rushey Mead Academy will need to complete an online enrolment form. This link has been sent out directly to parents via email addresses.

For any parents who need help completing the online form, there will be a coffee morning which will be held on Wednesday 11th March 2020 at 10.00 am in their sports café. The enrolment form must be completed by Friday 13th March.

If you have been refused one or more of your highest preferred schools, you can appeal to an independent appeal panel. If you wish to appeal, we recommend that you accept the offered place. This will not affect the outcome of your appeal and will ensure that your child has a school place for the start of term.

If your child is starting secondary school next year, you can usually apply for a school place in September the year before.
